1987

Patented Textured Geomembrane

Co-developed a US-patented textured geomembrane with improved frictional characteristics and structural stability for landfill containment facilities.

2003

Pioneer Commissioner for Environment

Appointed as Ogun State's first Commissioner for Environment upon the creation of the state's Ministry of Environment, under Governor Gbenga Daniel — served 2003–2007.

2005

National Cleanest City Award

Received for Abeokuta, in recognition of his Community Based Waste Management Program.

2006

National Innovative Indigenous Technology Award

Awarded by the Federal Government, based on Ogun State's Community Based Waste Management Program.

2011 & 2015

PDP Governorship Aspirant

Contested as a PDP governorship aspirant for Ogun State in 2011 (emerging 1st runner-up in the primary election) and again in 2015.

2022

SDP Consensus Governorship Candidate

Emerged as the Social Democratic Party's consensus candidate for the Ogun State governorship race.

2023

"Asiwaju ETO" Governorship Campaign

Ran a statewide SDP campaign with running mate Aare Olugbenga Oluyemi, FCA, under the slogan “Re-Invigorating the Awakened Giant,” built around the manifesto Creating a Model State.

2024

Honorary Doctorate Conferment

Conferred an honorary doctorate by the Immanuel Theology Institute International (South Africa) in conjunction with the Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative (PLDI, Nigeria), at the Leadership Empowerment International Conference, Abeokuta.

2025

Keynote Speaker — Men-Only Town Hall

Spoke at the 4th Men-Only Town Hall on gender-based violence, organized by Women FM in collaboration with the Owu Palace, Abeokuta, on men's role in safeguarding women and girls.

NICRI Nation Building, Life Changer AfriCaribbean Award, given by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, for unifying business relationships between Nigeria and the Caribbean Islands.
